Mr. Larry Beslow is a longtime Staten Island community leader with decades of experience in civic engagement, youth advocacy, and community development. Known for his quiet but consistent commitment to service, Mr. Beslow has contributed his time and leadership to numerous community initiatives aimed at strengthening neighborhoods and supporting youth across Staten Island.
Mr. Beslow began his career with Chase Manhattan Bank, where he developed expertise in bookkeeping, budget analysis, and operational management. After relocating to Staten Island with his family, he became deeply involved in community work, collaborating with local leaders and organizations to address neighborhood needs and expand opportunities for young people.
Over the years, Mr. Beslow has served in several leadership roles including member of Community Board 1, Chair of the Stapleton/Clifton/Concord Area Committee, and Chair of the Youth Services Planning Committee, where he advocated for youth programs and resources across the borough. Mr. Beslow also served as a member of the New York City Community Change for Youth Development (CCYD) Advisory Board, contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of youth development programs serving underserved communities and as Treasurer of the Staten Island African-American Political Association (SIAAPA), helping strengthen community organizations and promote civic engagement.
Through his service, Mr. Beslow has remained dedicated to empowering communities, supporting youth development, and encouraging residents to take an active role in building stronger neighborhoods.
